With a deep exploration of an unlikely friendship between two very different personalities, contrasting outlooks, and a shared love interest, and the subtextual corrupt rule of the Wizard of Oz threatening to tear a perfect world apart, everybody and anybody is bound to be pulled deep into the smart storytelling, breathtaking visual effects, well-developed characters, and, of course, composer Stephen Schwartz’s soaring and memorable melodies.
