The Book of Mormon, one of the in Broadway history, will now be coming to Milwaukee! and performing at Uihlein Hall at Marcus Center For The Performing Arts on Wednesday 26th February 2025!
Centered on the coming-of-age story of an odd duo of two Mormon missionaries, Kevin Price and Arnold Cunningham. The Book of Mormon creatively challenges religion and religious storytelling, and presents it in classical modern theatre comedy. The two missionaries are given a mission to preach to the residents of a local village in Uganda, who turn out to be indifferent to what they aim to preach.
The Book of Mormon was just an idea back in 2003 by creators Trey Parker, Matt Stone, and Robert Lopez, continuing on to its premiere in 2011. Since then, the musical comedy has become one of the most commercially successful Broadway plays in history, with repeatedly full houses for over a decade.
The Book of Mormon will only be performing in Milwaukee’s Uihlein Hall at Marcus Center For The Performing Arts for a limited period this winter. Don’t wait for seats to run out on this popular Wednesday showing!

Applauded as one of the longest-running Broadway shows of all time, The Book of Mormon has been a certified hit all over the world. In its several performances in the United States, London’s West End, and Australia to name a few, the Broadway hit has been met with an impressive reception from audiences and sold-out shows. In Milwaukee, it is expected to be just as extraordinary as the performance on Wednesday 26th February 2025 will be running in Uihlein Hall at Marcus Center For The Performing Arts, with a reputation of running the premier plays and musicals, and praised by fans because of its beautiful facilities and adequate seating.
The Book of Mormon is a play about faith and how we behave towards it, specifically Latter-day Saints (LDS) missionaries named Kevin Price and Arnold Cunningham, as they are entrusted to spread their religion’s faith and teachings to a small local village in Uganda. They figure out however, the local residents do not care about their preaching, as they are fighting against more dangerous issues. The pair then clash because of their methods to convert the locals, with Cunnigham’s often involving adding fictitious tales to his teachings.
After a decade of success, The Broadway hit has garnered several awards in both Broadway and West End, including nine Tony Awards out of fourteen total nominations, including for Best Musical (received right after its opening night in 2011), four Drama Desk Awards, and three Outer Circle Critics awards. Across the pond, in the West End production of the show which debuted in 2013 at the Prince of Wales theatre, it won four Laurence Olivier Awards again including for Best Musical, while in its Australian tour in 2017, it also won two Helpmann Awards that also included for Best Musical.
Monetarily, The Book of Mormon has also achieved unforgettable commercial success with more than 4,600 performances as of the end of 2023. It has grossed over $1 billion dollars worldwide, and was even contributed to by the church through ad buys of ad space, billboards, bus advertising space, and other marketing campaigns in the several destinations in which the show toured.
