Uihlein Hall Rules
Like any major performing arts venue, Uihlein Hall has a set of rules and regulations. They’re designed to create a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests.
Here are some key points to keep in mind:
General rules
Recording equipment:
Professional cameras, video recording devices, and audio recording equipment aren’t permitted inside Uihlein Hall unless approved by management.
Food and drink:
Outside food and beverages are not allowed inside the theatre. But you can purchase snacks and drinks from concessions before the performance and during intermission.
Age restrictions:
Some performances have age restrictions, particularly those with mature content. Check the specific event details carefully when purchasing tickets. Children are generally welcome at family-friendly shows, but all attendees, regardless of age, need a ticket.
Broadway policy:
Children under four aren’t generally allowed to attend Broadway productions. That said, children are welcome at certain shows. Contact the Box Office directly to find out more.
Code of conduct
Uihlein Hall asks that all guests adhere to a code of conduct to ensure a pleasant experience for everyone. Disruptive behavior, including excessive noise, harassment of other guests or staff, and the use of electronic devices during performances, may result in removal from the venue.
Prohibited items
Uihlein Hall restricts certain items from being brought into the venue.
These include:
» Backpacks or oversized bags
» Laptops or tablets
» Weapons of any kind, including pocket knives
» Outside food and beverage of any kind in any container (emptied reusable water containers are allowed)
» Outside alcohol
» Cameras with external flash or interchangeable lenses
» Recording devices (audio/video)
» Illegal drugs and/or substances
» Chemical weapons, including mace or pepper spray
» Selfie sticks
» Laser pointers and flashlights
» Balloons
» Pets (service animals welcome)
» Tripods/monopods
» Signs, flags, or banners
» Beach balls or projectiles
» Fireworks or noise-making devices
» Skateboards, scooters, or roller blades
